Qigong workshop by Max

Qigong (Ch’i Kung)

In modern man the natural gravity centre has shifted from the belly into the head.
The ancient art of qigong is a way to find our primordial centre again and to cultivate and strengthen our life-force (qi) through movement, breath and attention.
Only when we rest in our inner power we are really able to establish an authentic and harmonious relationship with life.

Max Weier has been studying and practising qigong, taiji, yoga and various Eastern, spiritual traditions with renowned teachers and masters in Asia and the West during the last three decades. He is an instructor at UNESCO conferences and the author of the book ‘The Qigong Way’.
From his base in Switzerland, Max leads retreats and workshops worldwide.

Day l: Saturday: The Dynamic Brocades

The Dynamic Brocades
These physical movements have been designed to open the meridians, stimulate the energy-points, activate the qi-flow in the body and calm the mind. They are known as a potent tool to strengthen our health.
The Dynamic Brocades are based on the ancient qigong classic: ’The Brocades of Eight’.

Day ll: Sunday: Qigong and the Harmony of Head, Heart and Belly

The Harmony of Head, Heart and Belly
In this workshop we will bring attention to the three principal energy centres or chakras in the qigong tradition – using posture, movement, breath-work and meditation. An unrestricted, even flow of qi in these energy-fields helps us to cultivate and integrate physical vitality (centred in the belly), empathy (residing in the heart) and intuitive intelligence (located in the head).
